In a swift anti-smuggling operation, Multan Customs (Enforcement) Team foiled a major smuggling attempt & seized contraband worth Rs. 15.546 Million by intercepting a Bedford truck laden with high-value smuggled goods near Qasba Gujrat.
The contraband was cleverly hidden under stone dust to evade detection. Enforcement team seized a large quantity of betel nuts, cigarettes, china salt & J.M. gutkha. The goods & vehicle have been taken into custody & legal action initiated under the Customs Act, 1969.
FBR reiterates its firm resolve to combat smuggling in all its forms, safeguard national revenue, and protect public health and the economy from the harmful impacts of unlawful trade.
