Customs Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth PKR 27.4 Million!

In a significant enforcement achievement, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to curbing smuggling across the country. Acting on the clear directives of the Chief Collector Customs (Enforcement), the alert Customs staff stationed at the Interprovincial Joint Check Post successfully intercepted two vehicles traveling from the Quetta side.

During the stop, Customs officials conducted a careful and detailed inspection of the vehicles. Their efforts paid off, leading to the discovery of a large quantity of smuggled goods, including cigarette manufacturing materials and various sheesha related products. These items are commonly used in illegal trade and can seriously harm the economy by hurting legitimate businesses and reducing government revenue.

All recovered items, along with the vehicles used to transport them, were taken into custody in accordance with the law. The total value of the seized goods is estimated to be around PKR 27.4 million, making this a noteworthy operation for the region.

This successful action once again reflects the strong dedication of FBR and Pakistan Customs to protecting the country’s economic interests. By enhancing border vigilance, improving intelligence based operations, and strengthening coordination, FBR continues to take firm steps to break smuggling networks and promote fair, lawful trade.

FBR has reaffirmed that such strict enforcement efforts will continue, and any attempt to engage in smuggling will be dealt with firmly as part of its mission to safeguard Pakistan’s economic stability.
